Let me ask you a question: are you sick of all the old traffic generation strategies being bandied about by all the gurus out there while you are still trying to get traffic to your site.

Where We're Going From Here

It's well past time to take my blog in a new direction. I for one am sick of Obama, and I really cannot wait until 2013 when he is gone, and we don't have to hear about him anymore.

To be honest, he's irrelevant, especially if you're a Christian. The bible tells us:

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28)

So, what do we really have to fear in Obma? The man is a George Soros puppet and a wimp. Why should we fear him? We shouldn't. We don't need to be concerned with him at all. He can take our lives, but he can't destroy us, and he has no control over whether or not we are saved, and we get heaven.

In other words, it's all gravy.

I've been listening to Pastor Jim Richards again. I also listeen to Joseph Prince, Joel Osteen, and Creflo Dollar. Now, you may think that some of these ministers are shallow, but what they preach is truth. What's not truth, you'll be able to tell if you know your bible. That part you'll disregard.

I plan to talk a lot more about what the bible has to say, and the teaching will definitely be biblical. Here's what's important though: it will be from the perspective of grace. The grace of God.

God isn't mad at us. He doesn't hate us, and he doesn't want to punish us. He loves everyone, but not everyone will go to heaven. They won't go to heaven because they reject God.

On the other hand, you can accept Jesus and still not live the life he offers. And that's where we're going. Some of the things that I have to say will be offensive. If you're not living your life the way God wants you to, then you're simply not getting everything he wants you to have. Your choice. Not mine.

Are You Ready to Finally Stop Pretending

Too many people who become Christians today think that as soon as they accept Jesus as their savior, their problems are over. What they don't understand, probably because they aren't mature enough as Christians to understand, is that we suffer from many of the same problems non believers do.

We sometimes suffer because we make the same mistakes as nonbelievers. We don't realize that we're trying to do things the world's way instead of God's way. Then again, sometimes bad things happen to us, and we don't know why. When these things happen, we can be like Job: we don't know why this is happening to us, but then the reasons really don't matter. What matters is that we're in pain, and we want to get out of pain. This book explains what's holding you back from pain.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't think much about pastors' wives. It's not that I don't have a high opinion of them; I just don't think about what they go through on a daily basis.I also believe that this is the reason so many churches are micromanaged, and pastors and their wives end up stuck doing many things in the church that we should all pitch in and help with.

The other side of the coin is this: those in the church who also do too much. Even if you don't fall into this group, this book will still help you. It will show you the areas where we all end up frustrated and aggravated when we don't take steps to change things.

Although I found this book very helpful, the one thing I didn't like about it was that Scazzero didn't explain how to make these changes in your life. She gives a lot of really good examples, and she explains each one of the problems in detail. You learn the "what" of the problem, but you don't learn the "how" i.e. how to fix the problem.

Sometimes though, the real secret is just knowing that there is a problem and receiving the insight we need to change. This book does a very good job of presenting the problem. You'll definitely receive the insight you need.

What I liked best about this book was that it gave me better insight into the lives of those in the ministry. Pastors and their wives, as a group, really can help you because they do understand. Definitely worth a read if you're a frustrated and exhausted Christian who's looking for change.

Spring isn't just about watching the flowers bloom or soaking up warmer temperatures. The dawn of spring also means another Mother's Day is right around the corner.

Mother's Day is a sentimental day for millions of people all over the world. You probably have your own Mother's Day traditions. But, what's the story behind the holiday? Why do we devote a day to our mothers?

How Mother's Day Began

The first people to wish each other a happy Mother's Day were most likely the Ancient Greeks. Back in those days, the Ancient Greeks would celebrate Cybele, the Mother of the Gods. Traditionally, this celebration was held in conjunction with the Vernal Equinox - or, the day when the sun passes right over the equator, signaling the start of spring.

But the Ancient Greeks weren't alone. Over in Ancient Rome, people had their own celebrations. In Rome, though, the party centered around Juno, the goddess of childbirth. During what became known as the "Matronalia Festival", husbands and children gave gifts to the mothers in their lives in an effort to honor Juno.

Soon enough, the annual celebration made its way to Europe. In the UK, Christians started honoring the Virgin Mary on a specific Sunday each spring. Eventually, the day became known as "Mothering Sunday", and it became such a big celebration that even the servants were given the day off to go visit their mothers.

It was years before the tradition made its way to the United States, though. In fact, it took a major tragedy to get the country to start celebrating Mother's Day.

Right after the Civil War ended, social activist and famed poet Julia Ward Howe thought a day dedicated to mothers was just what the war-torn country needed. Howe believed, by celebrating mothers, Americans were also celebrating peace -and honoring the role women play in raising happy families.

Mother's Day Today

Mother's Day may have ancient ties to religion, but, today, people of all faiths and all backgrounds celebrate the day.

Some of the most common traditions are:

- Sending a card and/or gifts to your mother.

- Visiting your mother.

- Calling your mother (in fact, Mother's Day is one of the most popular days to make long-distance calls).

- Sending flowers to your mother.

No matter what your ritual, Mother's Day has special meaning to families around the world. Most families have created their own unique traditions in order to make the day even more special.

To me, the Easter story has always been about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You can call it what you like: Easter, Passover, whatever.

However, it's also true that there are a lot of pagan rituals connected to Christianity. This is all due to Emperor Constantine institutionalizing Christianity in the 4th Century. This article explains some of those traditions.

There's a whole lot more to Easter than just colored eggs and chocolate bunnies. Sure, you know Easter's a religious holiday for people all over the world - but do you really know how the day's traditions came about?

Easter's Pagan Origins - Where the Bunnies Came From

Centuries ago, Pagan religions would hold a celebration every year, after the Spring Equinox - or, when the sun would pass directly over the equator. To Pagans, the Spring Equinox represented the end of winter and the beginning of new life.

Many of these Pagan rituals still live on today. In fact, it was during these celebrations bunnies were first introduced. That's because part of the celebration revolved around Eostre - a goddess who's symbol is the rabbit. Pagans were especially captivated by Eostre during their spring celebration because bunnies are extremely fertile in the spring. To Pagans, bunnies were clear examples of new life popping up.

Easter's Christian Roots

For millions of Christians around the world, Easter has even more serious roots. That's because it's a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

On Good Friday Jesus was put to death. However, two days later - on Easter Sunday - Jesus rose from the dead. This resurrection is the basis for most Christian beliefs and it's considered one of the most important events in history.

To Christians, Easter Sunday is an incredibly important day - even though it's celebrated on different Sundays every year.

So, how's Easter's date calculated every year?

It's done using the lunisolar calendar - which takes into account the phase of the moon and the time in the solar year. While the specific day changes from year to year, Easter is always celebrated between March 22nd and April 25th.

Easter's Roots in Other Religions

While Easter is a Christian holiday, people of other faiths have removed the religious element and use the day to celebrate the beginning of spring. That's why you'll see non-Christians taking part in Easter traditions - like Easter egg hunts and chocolate bunnies.

So, What's Easter Really About?

The answer to this question depends on your personal values and religious beliefs. If you come from a Christian or Pagan background, then Easter has specific meaning to you.

However, the beauty of Easter is that it means so many things to different people - so it can be celebrated by people of all faiths, all over the world.

It's Time For Some Real Change

It's true. Most people are angry. In fact, up until the last few days, I was angry. Very angry. So angry in fact, that I was ready to kill someone. Rage. Pure unadulterated rage.

I think that we all have that at one time or another. I seem to have had a lot more of it than others simply because I seem to attract all of the wrong people into my life, and they do me wrong. I'm learning how to be more discerning when it comes to toxic people, and they aren't allowed to be in my life for very long.

For whatever reason I don't understand, some people in society just can't handle being excluded even when their lifestyles are so toxic they should be excluded from associating with any of the rest of us. The values of these people poison the rest of us if we allow their ideology and lifestyles to take root, and it's well past time that we got past their insults to let them know their behavior is unacceptable and won't be tolerated anymore.

And that't the reason for this post. I refuse to participate in the recession. I refuse to participate in that disaster in Washington, and I refuse to be like those people because they are wrong, their motives are wrong, and it's well past time that we put and end to to their petty reigns of terror and tyranny.

So, I'm back to the real purpose of my blog. To educate Christians. We can't educate non believers although I do hope that nonbelievers will find something on my blog that helps them. We're to win the lost.

The truth is, God loves all of us. Everyone, believer, nonbeliever, everyone. That's why Jesus died on the cross. The thing is, unless you accept Jesus as your savior, you're condemned. You're condemned because you made the choice to be condemned. We have to choose the gift of salvation, something I have done, not because I am afraid or fear God, but because I know He loves me, and I know how He has changed my life.

The fact that I'm not angry anymore is proof enough. That was a day I never thought I would see come. Now that it's here, it is one of the most wonderful things I have ever experienced.

When you are free of that anger and fear, then you're free. No more life of bondage. Just peace, and a joy like nothing I have ever experienced.

Are you making New Year's resolutions this year? If so, it could be a huge waste of your time. If you always promise to lose those stubborn 10 extra pounds - then gorge on candy once Valentine's Day rolls around - you're not alone. In fact, more than 75% of people who make New Year's resolutions fail!

How can that be? Why can't we commit to something and stick with it?

Psychologists say that New Year's resolutions can be a trap for many people, because they don't really think them through before they make them. Think about it - you've just had your third glass of champagne on New Year's Eve, when you decide to make quitting smoking your New Year's resolution.

But, according to psychologists, that spontaneity is working against you. The people who are most likely to fail at their New Year's resolutions don't have a plan for success. They think they can get by on sheer willpower. However, willpower isn't enough; it can only sustain you for so long. Soon enough, you'll give into temptation - and you'll dive right into that pack of cigarettes.

And, once you do fail, you wind up feeling worse about yourself than when you started. Now, in your mind, you're a smoker and a failure.

My advice? Don't set yourself up to fail - don't make New Year's resolutions!

Now, if you're going to go ahead and do it anyway, how do you pick a New Year's Resolution you can stick to? Here are 4 tips that'll help:

1. Plan in advance.

If you really want to have a resolution, give it some serious thought. If you want to start working out every day, think about exactly when you'll go to the gym, how you'll fit it into your schedule, and who'll watch the kids while you're there. By planning everything out in advance, you're eliminating the "wiggle room". You won't have any excuses if everything's accounted for ahead of time.

2. Break things up into smaller segments.

Sure, you want to lose 10 pounds, but you're not going to realistically lose them all in January. By breaking your resolution into smaller parts - like trying to lose 2 pounds a month for the next 5 months - you make your goal easier to achieve. That way, you can still splurge every now and then and still lose your 2 pounds for the month. By trying to lose all 10 at once, you'll deprive yourself too much and your willpower won't be able to take it.

3. Don't have a bunch of resolutions.

It's hard enough to succeed at one New Year's resolution. Bad habits are hard to break and they're even tougher to break when you're trying to break a bunch at once. Don't try to quit smoking, lose 10 pounds, and stop drinking coffee all at the same time. You'll never succeed.

4. Tell family and friends about your resolution.

By telling others about your goal, you're making yourself publicly accountable. If you fail, you'll have to tell everyone you failed. That alone can motivate you to succeed - or not make the New Year's resolution in the first place!

I know that it has been a tough year for many, if not all of my readers. Now that the newness of all that "Hope and Change" has worn off, more people are suffering than ever before. More people are out of work than ever before.

The Daily Target Praxis is one of the most effective tools I've ever seen to make this happen. When you have to engage your brain instead of just living on autopilot, it won't take you long to figure out exactly how you've gone wrong in your life and how to fix it.

The Science of Getting Rich - This is the book that started it all. If you've always wondered where "The Secret" came from? Then read this.

This book is the basis of the Secret, but it's about a million times better because the author, Wallace Wattles doesn't offer up non existent secret conspiracies or magical thinking. I realize that many people are frustrated with the economy today because they're unemployed and quite frankly, the economy is bad. However, it also all depends on your attitude and your perception of the situation.

If the sound of Jingle Bells has you clutching your wallet in fear, you're not alone. Christmas generates an estimated $435 billion worth of economic activity every year and, unfortunately, many people can't afford it.

According to the American Consumer Credit Council, the average American spends $935 on Christmas shopping - and that doesn't even include things like holiday meals and decorations!

Unfortunately, though, many Americans are driving themselves into debt during the Yuletide Season. According to Consumer Reports, shoppers spend about 15% more than they plan to at Christmastime. All of that shopping is racking up more debt for Americans who, on average, carry about $44,000 in debt to begin with - on things like mortgages, car loans, and credit cards. The holiday season only makes that debt worse.

So, how do you celebrate Christmas without going into debt -and without looking or feeling like a cheapskate? Start by following these 4 tips:

1. Stop pressuring yourself to make Christmas perfect.

Christmas is about spending quality time with your friends and family and making new memories - not about getting the perfect presents. You don't have to spend a fortune to have a great Christmas. If you spend too much, you'll spend Christmas worrying about all of the bills the New Year is going to bring - instead of enjoying yourself.

2. Quantity doesn't always equal quality.

You'll be much better off if you buy 1 or 2 gifts that'll really be treasured and appreciated, rather than making sure everyone has exactly 10 gifts under the tree. Remember, the Wise Men only brought 3 gifts and everyone in the Manger had a pretty great time!

3. Don't feel pressured to buy a gift for every member of your extended family.

If you can't even remember all of your cousins' names, they certainly don't all need a present! Family or couple's gifts are a great way to include everybody without killing your bank account. Or, you can set up a "Secret Santa" for your extended family members. That way, everyone only has to shop for one other person.

And, you can always give family members a homemade present -like a collection of family photos that you turned into a scrapbook. They'll appreciate something like that far more than another gift card to The Gap.

4. Set a budget and stick to it.

It sounds so incredibly obvious, but this is actually where most shoppers fail at Christmastime. Before you head out to go shopping, figure out how much money you can comfortably spend - without racking up a ton of bills that'll have to be paid off later. When you reach that limit, stop shopping. Don't go back to the mall. Don't browse online ads. Instead, think of the day in January when your credit card bills arrive and stop spending.

Want to Write for Money? Then Write for the Soul

Sometimes I forget why I write. Other times I don't feel like I have to remember. I simply write because it's a part of who I am.

This book, written by Jerry B. Jenkins, coauthor of the Left Behind Series, will remind you of why you write. Not only will he remind you, but he will help you become a better writer and grow your writing career in ways you could never imagine.

(Jenkins is also a profilific writer, having written over 150 books. He also leads the Christian Writers Guild and teaches Christian writers how to further develop their writing talents.)

This book is far more than Jenkins writing about his experiences as a Christian, or as a writer for that matter. Jenkins combines anecdotes, as well as stories from his life, to show how he developed his writing career, and how, through his faith, he ultimately found his purpose in life: to tell stories that help others. (One thing I learned about Jenkins is that he is an avid baseball fan and wrote about sports for years.)

In fact, that's how Jenkins got started: writing as a sport writer for the newspapers. As his career developed, he wrote many autobiographies on some of the biggest sports stars of the times.

(One of my favorites was Jenkins story about Chicago Bears Walter Payton. Jenkins told Payton once walked out in front reporters completely naked. Jenkins also reveals some of the training regimen Payton used to become one of the greatest rushers who ever played football.)

Jenkins tell of other stories he wrote about other sports stars and his experiences with them. By the time Jenkins wrote the Left Behind series he had already written over 50 books, many of these sports autobiographies.

One thing I really liked about this book is that Jenkins freely offers a ton of tips on developing your writing career as well as improving your writing. He offers a brief list books for you to read further and help you improve your writing.

There's also the stories interspersed throughout the book where Jenkins writes about different sports stars he's written about. This is where Jenkins really comes alive, and you can see his passion for his writing. It really is very enligtening, and it's hard not to be inspired to write.

It doesn't matter what you write. It doesn't matter if you are a Christian or not. If you want to improve your writing, if you want to learn from a master craftsman, and if you want to be inspired, then read this book. It will definitely help you if you follow the advice Jenkins so generously gives.

Have you ever dreamed of quitting your job and starting your own business, thereby becoming your own boss? Well, thanks to modern technology, it's more doable now than it's ever been, as more and more people are finding out. Yes, every new business venture involves some risks, but those risks are often outweighed by the advantages.

Here are nine good reasons why you should start a home business:

1. You have far more control over your time.

With a home business, you can decide for yourself what your working hours will be. If you only want to work when your kids are in school, have at it. If you like to sleep in, you can start work later. If you need to do something, you can give yourself the time off. As long as your work's getting done, you can be flexible and work whenever you want.

2. You can work from anywhere you like.

A home business comes with the freedom to go or move anywhere you like without having to ask permission, look for a new job, or miss a minute of work. Modern technologies, such as laptops and high-speed Internet connections, make it possible to be as mobile as you want to be. So, don't like the cold? Head south for the winter. Don't like the heat? Head north for the summer.

3. You don't have to commute to and from work.

Did you ever stop to think about all the time you waste sitting in traffic or on some mode of mass transportation getting to and from work every day? At an average of some twenty-four minutes each way, according to a recent survey, it's the equivalent of five full work weeks every year. Time that could much better be spent at home, building your own business instead of someone else's.

4. You don't have to get dressed up to go to work.

Sick and tired of wearing high heels or a tie every day? Well, when you work from home, you can wear whatever you darn well please... or nothing at all if you like. :-)

5. You can save money.

By eliminating your commute, you'll save money on car expenses, if you drive, or bus or train fares, if you use mass transportation. Since you don't have a dress code at your home office, you can save money on clothes. 6. You can finally start eating better.

Most folks will tell you they'd really like to start eating better. However, when you're being pressured at work and don't have time for lunch and/or working long hours and don't have time to make dinner, it's a lot easier said than done, isn't it? If you work at home, you're less likely to turn to junk food as the answer and more likely to make healthier food choices.

7. You'll have far less stress.

When you work from home, you don't have a boss to contend with, office politics to deal with, or drama kings or queens to upset you. Any stress you do have will be self-imposed and thus, totally under your control.

8. You can get more done in less time.

Think of all the time you lose every single day at work in idle chit-chat with co-workers, about such weighty topics as last night's game or who's doing what with whom, and trivial interruptions and what you could accomplish without those distractions and interruptions. Without them, you could easily accomplish more working ten hours a week at home than you are now working forty hours a week at the office.

9. You __________.

Fill in the blank with your reason. Each and every one of us is different. Though the eight reasons above are eight of the best reasons there are for starting a home business, the single best reason is the one that's most important to you. It might be you can finally get paid what you're worth, make more money, or spend more time with your family. Whatever's important to you!

These are but a few of the many possible reasons why you should start a home business. Whatever your reason is, keep it firmly in mind before, during, and after making the transition from having a boss to being your own boss. You can do it and knowing why you want to do it will propel you to success and carry you over any obstacles that may arise in the process.

The Trial

I'm so glad to see more and more mainstream actors from Hollywood crossing over and doing Christian movies. I have always been a fan of Matthew Modine even though I haven't always been a fan of all of his movies.

In this movie, Modine plays a lawyer who has lost his wife and two sons in a car accident. He's struggling over whether or not to commit suicide. The court tasks him to defend a young man who is on trial for murder. Unfortunately for this young man, he can't remember any of the events for the night in question. Now the district attorney is seeking the death penalty.

This promises to be an awesome movie. It came out on November 9. I hope you'll take the time to rent it and watch it. It will be well worth seeing. Click the link above to watch the trailer.

Log Cabin Republicans: More Despicable Than Liberals

Since it was the Log Cabin Republicans who sued on “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell,” and right now they seem to be winning the legal battle here, I decided to go back and find out who they are what they believe.

Now, these are people who claim to be Republican, but none of the stuff they stand for are Republican ideals. No, instead, they are fighting for the fake rights that they claim that homosexuals are being denied. Here’s the problem: the Constitution, through the Declaration of Independence, that you have the unalienable God Given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

YOU DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO ABRIDGE THE FREE SPEECH RIGHTS OF CHRISTIANS BECAUSE YOU DON’T LIKE WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY.

If you read the Constitution, then you will see that the Founding Fathers thought it was important for us to have the right to free speech and freedom of religion. Nowhere in the Constitution do you have a right to be “gay” unless you mean happy, and only then do you have the right to the PURSUIT of happiness. The Constitution doesn’t guarantee you this.

Log Cabin Republicans aren’t Republicans at all, and to tie their name to President Ronald Reagan is even more despicable because I can’t imagine Reagan ever supporting any of their policies.

Look, here’s the bottom line: homosexuality is a behavior, nothing more. There is not one scientific shred of evidence to indicate anything else. With the amount of suicides, homicides, sexually transmitted and other diseases, and mental illness that these people suffer from, why would we want to promote this lifestyle?

I suffered from depression for years. I was incorrectly diagnosed as bipolar and pumped full of drugs that did absolutely nothing to help me solve my problems and change my life.

When I took control, and I actually started doing things that would allow me to get well, then I got well. I got saved. I turned my life over to Jesus Christ and poured those pills down the drain. Today I am healthy, happy, and whole. I have learned how to effectively cope with my problems, and life is fantastic.

That’s not what Log Cabin Republicans are doing. Like a lot of these other homosexual organizations, they are telling people that your sexuality can’t be changed. What a lie. It can be changed, and plenty of people have come out of that lifestyle.

As sad as it is, the bottom line is that ultimately these young boys who committed suicide are responsible for their actions. This is not about being mean; this is an observation of the reality of the situation.

However, there are reasons I believe for why these young people thought that they had no other choice than to commit suicide. As someone who was depressed for years, I know what it feels like to believe that nothing will ever change, and that I am powerless to do anything about it.

That is how those young people felt, and it led to them doing what they did. These kinds of feelings though are learned. There are effective ways to cope with your feelings and problems. Instead of teaching our kids in schools that it’s “ok to be gay,” we need to teach them that there are effective ways to cope with their problems and feelings.

I honestly believe that many young people are pushed into the homosexual lifestyle. They don’t receive the proper guidance, or validation, especially from their parents. In my case, what kept me out of the lifestyle is that I am one of these people who just can’t live without truth in my life. I have to live authentically and truthfully, and homosexuality is just so far out of sync with that.

As much as I hate to say it, it’s also the lifestyle of the wimpy. If they can’t take a little criticism, then that is a mark of immaturity. All of this striving to bend society to their wishes isn’t the way to help them, and it destroys the rights of the rest of us.

The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is a God given right. The right to bend society to your will, or the right to be “gay” isn’t a right at all. These are choices, and in the end, they are bad ones.

Anyway, this article gives some really clear insight into the issue and shows how we should really be dealing with it instead of patting these kids on the head and telling them what they are doing is ok.

Jesus told us to love our neighbor, and our neighbor is anyone who isn’t Christian. When you lie to someone even to make that person feel better about himself/herself, you don’t love that person at all.

If we want to save these kids from now on, the most effective way to do it is to tell them the truth, and tell them the truth about homosexuality. You are not trapped into this lifestyle.

Even though Christine O'Donnell lost the Senate race in Delaware last night, she is still a winner in my book. It takes a lot of guts to run in a political race, and she handled the whole process with a lot of grace and style. In my book, that makes her a very desirable candidate, and she's exactly what this country needs to put it back on track. Unfortunately, the big loser here is really Delaware. Too bad they didn't learn from having someone like Joe Biden.

I think Sharron Angle is to be congratulated too. It took a lot of guts to stand up to Harry Reid, and it was certainly an ugly race. Why the people of Nevada can't see through Harry Reid and see him for what he really is is really beyond belief to me. I just don't understand it. But then, his base seems to be the bunch with its hand out asking for a handout instead of working like the rest of us.

Nevada, Delaware, West Virginia and Massachusetts will all get what they deserve, and it won't be pretty. Quite honestly, I find it absolutely hilarious that Northerners think that Southerners are stupid. How much more stupid can you be than to vote for someone like Barney Frank or Robert "KKK" Byrd, but then Byrd is gone, isn't he?

I believe that God passed judgment on Robert Byrd, Teddy Kennedy, and Robert Murtha. You can only push your luck so far and then you get what's coming to you.

This election was especially ugly to me, and I'm glad it's over. Many of the candidates that I was hoping would win won. For those that didn't, well the stupid will get what they deserve.

My hat is off to both Christine O'Donnell and Sharron Angle. You have restored my faith in the political process and reminded me that although evil reigns for a short time, good will always win in the end.

God bless you. I hope you come back and run again. Lots of job openings in 2012. That's when the real work begins, when we get rid of that usurper Obama. Then we can really turn this country around for the better this time.

As I write this, several young homosexual males have recently committed suicide. One, a college student, was filmed by his roomate as he was having sex with another man. The second took offense at some things that were said in a county council meeting, and one, who was only 13, shouldn't have been having sex anyway.

Although I feel sorry for thse kids and their families, it also brings to mind a couple of important points that I want to make because they are absolutely relevant to what's wrong with our society today.

First, on many homosexual sites on the internet, Christians, Republicans, Convservatives, etc. are being blamed for happened here. However, that really is a stretch even for those who drank the koolaid.

To blame other people for your misery is the first mistake that is being made here. Those who filmed the young man having sex were clearly wrong as this kid was in his dorm room. What they did was also illegal, and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. (My question here is why are they being allowed to have sex in the dorms anyway? Go somewhere and get a motel!)

However, let me point out here that to blame those who shot the video for this young man's suicide is wrong. This young man, and only this young man, is to blame for his suicide. This is a choice he made. No one made this choice for him.

To blame others for his choice is based on faulty thinking. Although they shouldn't have done what they did, they had absolutely no idea that something like this would happen. Also, it's not as important what happens to you in life as what you do with what happens.

So, the first point I want to stress here is that when it comes to the Science of Getting Rich, you are responsible for your own choices. You are also responsible for the consequences of those choices. You, and only you, can suffer the consequences of those actions. No one else. Blaming others only moves the responsibility temporarily. Until you take responsibility, nothing will change.

Second, as long as you keep trying to change the world around you and don't change from the inside out, nothing will change.

It doesn't matter what your lifestyle is; any lifestyle based on a lie will always cause misery. Until you change your thinking, you will never be able to change the outer circumstances.

The homosexual community is thoroughly convinced that if they can just get "homosexual marriage" or "gays in the military," or silence Christians, or any number of things they have on their agenda, then they'll all of a sudden be happy and everything will just be all happy and perfect.

Well, life doesn't work that way. Changing the outside doesn't change the inside. You will still feel the same way on the inside and you'll engage in self sabotaging behavior.

Christians/Republicans/Conservatives/Everyone else is not what is sabotaging the homosexual community here. Through disease, murder, and other bad behavior choices, they seem to be doing a good job of sabotaging themselves.

My point is this: if you want to be successful in life, the first thing you have to do is take responsibility for yourself. Make choices that will get you where you want to be, and know what you want so you will achieve it. As long as you put the responsibility for your happiness elsewhere, you'll never get what you want, and this applies whether you are using sex, sexual orientation, color, race, or any other factor as an excuse for not succeeding.

In the end, that's all it really is, an excuse.

My condolences to the families. It's sad their children didn't learn these lessons when they could.

One of the things I find most frustrating about living in our society today is that people don’t want to discuss things nowadays. It’s all about shoving their beliefs, no matter how faulty or stupid they are, down your throat.

That’s the problem with homosexuality. This is constantly being shoved down our throats. The reason is that homosexuals want to silence those of us who disagree because they can’t stand the criticism. They’ve already shut down their consciences, and they want to try and turn off everyone else. To turn off your conscience is to stop listening to God, and I refuse to do that.

I refuse to surrender my principles to advocating a lifestyle that I know is destructive. If you don’t think it’s destructive, talk to a doctor who’s actually knows about it.

When I was on the Military.com forums I presented the research and life experience of two different doctors. The homosexual response? “Oh, these doctors are lying. They have an agenda.”

What possible agenda could a doctor have in presenting the destructiveness of the homosexual lifestyle? To say something like that is crazy.

I live in the Atlanta area. We have the Center for Disease Control here. The CDC is the organization that keeps statistics on disease. They have no agenda other than to keep us apprised on what diseases we are facing that could possibly wipe us out.

I recently visited their website and was reading the statistics on this site. If homosexuality is such a healthy lifestyle, why is it that five times as many homosexual males contracted this disease through homosexual sex as did heterosexuals? As of 2007, the year the most recent statistics are available, approximately 22,000 homosexuals contracted this disease, whereas only 4,100 heterosexuals contracted it. (Now I don’t think those numbers actually included IV drug users, but then those numbers don’t matter in this analogy anyway because IV drug users don’t become HIV positive from having sex.)

There’s no cure for AIDs in spite of the fact that we’ve thrown more money at this disease in our history. This is a disease I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. It is a horrible way to live, and a horrible way to die, and the people who have it deserve our compassion even if they are responsible for their own demise.

The bottom line here is that as Christians we have to stand up for what is right. Homosexuality is wrong, and we are not showing kindness to those who struggle in this lifestyle by silencing our consciences (God) and being honest with them.

Are you willing to stand before God and say that you weren’t willing to stand up for what’s right because you were afraid? Jesus wasn’t a coward, and neither should we be.

Our rights, our lives, are at stake here. It’s time to take a stand against this evil. I hope you all do the right thing.

There are way too many people who claim to be conservative who aren't. We need to stand up to these people and point them towards the truth.

There doesn’t seem to be as much difference between big government and big business these days. It’s almost as if these people are in bed with one another. That’s not to say that all politicians are bad, or all business people are bad. Quite the contrary.

When it comes to non fiction, I can't think of any topic that I prefer to read about than marketing. Marketing and business are two things that drive the world. Although marketing may not seem like a calling, it's really no different than teaching, ministry, government service, or a whole host of other occupations I could name. The name of the game in any occupation though is in helping people.

Personally, I prefer to educate my customers. I want to share valuable information with them. However, it's not really enough to educate your customer. You have to inspire them to feel the same passion you do about whatever you are marketing. Reach their emotions, and you have them.

In a rare glimpse at some of the most successful marketing campaigns in history, journalist David Kupelian takes you on a journey to show you how these campaigns succeeded.

I have to say that I'm impressed. The groups who constructed these campaigns were selling everything from "gay rights" to abortion, not topics that we in the mainstream marketing world would consider creating campaigns for. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Even better, Kupelian backs up his credentials with plenty of facts and figures that will really get you thinking. If you're a marketer reading this book, it will really get you thinking about how better to connect with your customers and reach them at their emotions, something an effective marketer will do. If you're a customer, this book will really get you thinking about whether or not you have been hypnotized by those who are trying to sell to you.

I won't lie to you. The information contained in this book is controversial because it will upset those who don't agree. That's why I didn't reveal any of the information about specific campaigns. You will just have to see for yourself. What I will say is that the material is not only well documented but well explained and the writing is very engaging. This book really was hard for me to put down.

It's funny how sometimes we feel better and superior to others when we've read something this educational and controversial and generally reinforces our belief system. I didn't feel that way. I walked away from this book knowing that I wasn't crazy. Not only has marketing changed, and so have the ways we have learned to do it, but the whole world has changed.

If you're looking for a different perspective on marketing, then I highly recommend reading this book. Similar to case studies, you'll have plenty to study, and you'll understand marketing in ways that it's not normally taught. In fact, this book is recommended for anyone who really wants to educate themselves on how powerful marketing really is.

On a scale of one to 10, this book rates an 11. It's definitely worth reading.

Ever wondered why no one ever came forward from Obama's past saying they knew him, attended school with him, was his friend, etc. Not one person has ever come forward from his past.

This should really be a cause for great concern. To those who voted for him, you have elected the biggest unqualifed fraud that America has ever known. Sort of adds credence to the idea of The Manchurian Candidate thing happening here!

George Stephanopoulos, of ABC News. said the same thing during the 2008 campaign. He too was a classmate of Obama's at Columbia class of 1984. He said he never had a single class with him..

While he is such a great orator, why doesn't anyone in Obama's college class remember him? And, why won't he allow Columbia to release his records? NOBODY REMEMBERS OBAMA AT COLUMBIA ! Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there, but none remembered him.

Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me. I don't have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia . EVER! Nobody recalls him.

Root adds that he was also, like Obama, "Class of '83 political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than that." Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever met him. At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me. No one ever heard of Barack! And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him."

Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia, provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friend while at Columbia.

My mother always told me that “Actions speak louder than words.” That’s why I always watch what other people are doing and not necessarily what they are saying. It’s the reason I never voted for someone like Obama or Hilary Clinton. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that what they were doing was bad for the country.

What the liberals, and what the current administration are doing to this country is not only a travesty, it’s just plain evil. They want to destroy us from the inside. They don’t care about me or you. They never have.

If you want to see what the real results are of liberals out of control and how it can hurt our economy, take a look at what Franklin D. Roosevelt did when he was president. The Great Depression lasted an additional 16 years because of bad policy on his part.

7 Key Factors for a Perfect Workout

Here are, in order, the 7 key phases you need to go through in order to have the perfect "fat burning, lean body sculpting" workout.

1 - Self-Massage

I've been doing this half-heartedly for years, but recently started taking this more seriously, using a foam roller, tennis ball, and Acuball to "tenderize" my muscles prior to training. I'll do some videos and articles on this soon, I promise.

2 - Mobility Warm-up

Just like you see in all of the TT workouts, I use bodyweight exercises, dynamic stretches, and even static stretches prior to training - depending on my needs or my client's needs.

3 - Explosive Exercise

Before I hit my main strength exercise, I'll do a jump exercise (if I am focusing on a lower body workout) or a medicine ball throw (if I'm focusing on bench presses or military presses).

You've already used TT programs with jumps, but expect more medicine ball throws soon.

4 - Main Exercise

Now I move to the main exercise, such as squats, deadlifts or bench presses (and military presses or handstand pushups).

In your TT workouts, you'll start with a superset of the most important exercises as your main lifts.

5 - Assistance Exercises

We're about 15-20 minutes into a workout by now, and this is where I'll add assistance exercises for my strength work or metabolic circuits for a fat loss program.

6 - Ab Endurance Exercises

Personally, I've been doing a lot of the basics - planks, side planks, Stability Ball planks, and rollouts. In TT programs, you get a little more variety, including TRX or Ball Pikes, plus Jackknives, cross-body mountain climbers, etc.

Just remember, you do NOT need (or want) to do crunches or sit-ups.

7 - Interval Training

If you are new to interval training, just listen to what Turbulence Training Transformation Contest Winner Charles Hiller has to say about it:

I have to admit something...I am going to upset a few of my good friends when I crush this nutrition myth. But if I have to sacrifice myself in order to help you out, then that's what I have to do.

So here's the final (and most ridiculous) nutrition myth...

The Myth - Fat Burning Foods Exist

This. Is. Wrong.

Fat burning foods are the "unicorns" of the nutrition world.

They do not exist.

And when you think about it, the term doesn't make sense.

How can a food cause you to burn fat?

It can't.

Foods GIVE you energy.

They don't cause you to burn fat.

When you eat food, the hormonal changes in your body SLOW fat burning, they don't speed it up - no matter what you eat!

Listen, the experts mean well.

They want to show you a list of foods that will help you with fat loss, but it is a myth that "fat burning foods" exist.

And yes, they are right that whole, natural foods such as chicken breasts, eggs, nuts, fruits, and vegetables all help you lose fat by controlling your appetite and by not causing you to gain fat, but NOT ONE of those ingredients actually burns fat.

Now some might argue that eating hot peppers or caffeine or even green tea can burn fat, but do you seriously think that eating those foods is even 1/1000th as effective as a workout?

They aren't.

Sorry.

Instead, keep your nutrition SIMPLE. Focus on whole, natural foods and limit high-calorie, high-sugar foods to just a couple of treats per week. Combine that with your favorite Turbulence Training workouts and you'll lose fat fast.

The Lost Writings of Wallace Wattles

In my opinion, based on my own personal experience, kids function best when they're real clear about exactly what's expected of them in any given situation or under any particular set of circumstances.

Every year since he first began school, in the day or two prior to the beginning of each new school year, I've sat down with my son, who's now twelve years old, to "lay down the law", so to speak, about exactly what I expected of him in school and to issue him his "marching orders" for the upcoming school year.

This year won't be any exception. Although my expectations for him haven't changed much over the last several years, with a new school year about to begin, I've been thinking about them again in preparation for our annual talk together and thought I'd take a few moments to share them with you.

Here they are:

Expectation #1 - I expect him to behave himself and treat others as he'd like to be treated.

The first and single, most important thing I expect of him in school is to be polite, mind his manners, and treat others as he'd like to be treated.

All three elements of this expectation are very closely related and because he understands *why* they're important, he has no trouble whatsoever living up to them.

Here's why...

One summer day, shortly before he started school, we were driving somewhere (probably a toy store :-)), when, seemingly out of nowhere, he asked me what I knew about this "God thing", as he phrased it.

As simply as I could put it, I shared with him my personal belief...

Essentially...

That One is All and All is One. That one Intelligent Substance manifests itself as what appears to be many elements of the material world.

Simply put...

We're all made from the same Stuff, a Thinking Stuff.

After I finished my simplified explanation of this concept, he sat there quietly for a moment or two, staring out the car window, then he looked at me and said...

"Daddy, that makes sense!"

And, with "ah-ha" written all over his face, he added...

"So that's why you're always telling me to love my neighbor as myself and to treat other people the way I want to be treated, because we're all one, right Daddy?"

At age five...

He got it! :-)

Expectation #2 - I expect him to do his best.

Unlike many, if not most, parents and teachers, I could care less what his grades in school are...

Really!

You should see the look on people's faces, especially his teachers, when I tell them this. :-)

So, what do I expect?

Simple...

I expect him to put everything he's got into everything he does and do the best work he can possibly do.

Throughout his writings, Wallace D. Wattles, best known for his classic masterpiece "The Science of Getting Rich", repeatedly stressed the importance of doing all you can do each day and doing each separate act in the most perfect manner possible.

That's *exactly* what I expect of him!

If, every single day, he does *all* he can do that day and if, every single day, he does each separate thing he does in school in the most *perfect* manner possible, with the purpose of learning...

And that, in the opinion of his teachers and/or the school system, earns him an "A"...

Great!

If it earns him a "B"...

Great!

If it earns him a "C"...

Great!

If it earns him a "D"...

Great!

If it earns him an "F"...

Great...

I really don't care! :-)

Why?

Because doing everything you can do each day and doing each separate thing you do in the most perfect manner possible with a purpose is the secret to success in anything and if he just learns this one lesson and applies it, he'll be successful in life regardless of what his grades in school are.

Expectation #3 - I expect him to have fun.

Life is meant to be fun, not a bore, and I expect him to have fun in school.

That being said...

Please understand...

I don't expect him to be the "class clown" or a "wise guy".

However...

I do expect him to look for ways to make his "work" fun.

If he learns how to make his "work" fun, he'll never have to "work" a day in his entire life.

Now...

These three expectations served us (and I stress the use of the word *us* here) extremely well throughout my son's elementary school years, from kindergarten through the fifth grade here.

Last year, just before he was about to enter the sixth grade ("middle school" here), I added a fourth expectation to the list:

Expectation #4 - I expect him to continue to be himself.

The key word here being *continue*!

Once kids hit the "middle school" years, they begin coming under increasingly heavy peer pressure to be like "everyone" else and, in my experience anyway, it seems the school "system" at this grade level does very little, if anything, to discourage it. As a matter of fact, maybe unknowingly, it appears to me they foster it.

Unfortunately, many kids "cave in" to this pressure because of their intense desire to be accepted and liked by their "friends".

I stress to my son, though he may be rejected and even possibly ridiculed by some, maybe even many, if he continues to be himself, he'll attract *real* friends who like him for who he *really* is, not for someone he's pretending to be, *real* friends who'll be with him through "thick and thin" for many, many years to come.

Well...

There you have them...

My twelve-year-old's "marching orders" for the upcoming school year.

In prior school years, because he's been very clear about exactly what I expected of him in school and because he's been very clear about exactly why I expected those things of him, he's never failed to live up to my expectations and make me very proud of him...

I don't expect this school year to be any different. :-)

It’s really hard not to make fun of and laugh at all of the people who voted for Obama, especially the ones who still blindly support him. It’s so sad that you don’t actually see him for what he is. All I can say is that if you still support him after all of the damage he has done to the United States financially, you really must hate this country.

For those of you who have children serving in the military and who still support him, I think you’ll be a lot less supportive when you children come home in body bags. After all, most of the deaths happening now could be prevented if Obama changed the rules of engagement to something that the military could actually use.

This issue won’t go away. As long as someone is reporting on it, I plan to write about it. I knew something was wrong when Obama brought up the issue of McCain’s citizenship. Just like everything else Obama does, he had to create a distraction to keep people from looking at his citizenship.

Well, it backfired. He created a firestorm he can’t extinguish. The best part is that once all of this firmly comes out, all of the crappy legislation he signed will have to be repealed. He doesn’t have the power to sign anything into law.

Time to crush 2 more nutrition myths and prove to you that you can eat your favorite foods while losing fat.

Nutrition Myth #1 - Fruit Makes You Fat

This. Is. Ridiculous.

No one, and I repeat, NO ONE is fat because they eat too much fruit.

Let's clear things up. Yes, fruit contains sugar. But fruit also contains fiber and water and fills you up for just a few calories.

Check out this calorie chart of our favorite fruits:

* 1 cup of cherries = 75 calories
* 1 medium apple = 75 calories
* 1 medium banana = 100 calories
* 1 cup blueberries = 80 calories
* 1 date = 25 calories
* 1 grapefruit = 80-100 calories
* 1 orange = 60 calories
* 1 peach = 40 calories
* 1 cup pineapple = 65 calories
* 1 cup strawberries = 45 calories
* 1 cup watermelon = 50 calories

So seriously, let's just say you ate that entire list...you're still only at about 750 calories.

Compare that to these common foods - the ones that really make us fat.

* Grande Iced Caffe Mocha = 200 calories
* Grande Caramel Frappuccino = 430 calories
* Starbucks Low Fat Blueberry Muffin = 430 calories (only 1g fiber!)
* Plain Bagel = 300 calories (2g fiber - whoop-de-doo!)

You see my point? And we're worrying about "fruit making us fat"?

Sheesh.

Whooooaaa, don't eat that 75 calorie apple, you might get fat! (Note: Sarcasm)

Heck, there are days this summer when I've had:

* 1/2 a watermelon
* 2 apples
* 1/2 cup blueberries
* 1/2 cup strawberries
* 2 peaches
* 5 dates
* 2 bananas
* 1 pear

And you can see from my Facebook photos that fruit isn't making me fat.

So the myth that fruit makes you fat is a joke. The truth is that fruit is healthy for you and fills you up and helps you LOSE fat.

Nutrition Myth #2 - You can't eat delicious foods while losing fat

This is not true. However, "delicious" is a subjective term, right?

So what I might think is awesome (natural peanut butter sandwiches on flax bread with blueberries), might be your idea of boredom.

You do not have to give up your favorite foods completely when you are on a fat loss program.

Now I'm not going to lie and say you can eat whatever you want, and however much you want, every meal and every day.

You just need to harness the power of portion control and improve the overall quality of your diet, and you'll still be able to get a lean and sexy body this summer with your favorite foods.

So keep your nutrition SIMPLE. Focus on whole, natural foods and limit high-calorie, high-sugar foods to just a couple of treats per week. Combine that with your favorite Turbulence Training workouts and you'll lose fat fast.

As usual, David Kupelian is right on the money. Now I understand why homosexuals, bot h male and female, are so hostile towards Christians. They are also pretty hostile toward the truth.

How sad. It's also sad how they have made false claims against people like Walt Whitman, as well as even Jesus, were homosexuals.

I personally feel sorry for homosexuals. What they believe is deluded. I pray for them. I've never hated homosexuals. It's never been about that. It's about truth. It's about sharing the gospel of Jesus with them so they get saved. Too bad they prefer a few minutes of "pleasure " on earth instead of an eternity of joy and peace in heaven.

What's even sadder is that most of these people are "gay" because they've been molested. Instead patting them on the back and telling them they are OK, we need to help them.

Maybe I should have saved this for Thanksgiving. I really don’t know. However, it seems relevant these days because there are way too many people in American society that are under the misguided notion that being a social justice Christian is a good thing. Well, it’s not. Just like socialism and collectivism are both bad and wrong, so is being a social justice Christian.

Here’s why: If you believe that the solution to every problem in society is the government, then you have your allegiance in the wrong place. As Christians, our allegiance is to ALWAYS be to Jesus Christ first. Also, the government is seldom ever the right solution because they usually screw things up, waste a lot of money and just plain get it wrong.

If you using government to help someone, instead of using your own money, you’re NOT compassionate. I’m so sick of hearing about how compassionate liberals are compared to conservatives. Liberals are under the misguided notion that if they say something it’s a fact. If conservatives say something, even if they can prove it’s true, it’s a lie. The problem here is that liberals lie a little too often, but they have a really good example in Barack Obama. He’s the ultimate liar. (Satan would be proud.)

For those of you who are into all that collective living, you’re welcome to it. Have at it. Just don’t expect those of us who want success and are willing to work for it to want it. If I want to be compassionate, or actually help others instead of giving myself a label to make myself look good, then I will. Don’t need your help.

Just remember, if you liberals get your way and succeed in turning the United States into a socialist nation, you’ll have to get off your butts and work for a change. You won’t have the rest of us to be your slaves because we won’t work any harder than we have to.

Are We Better or Worse Off Under Obama?

I used to have a friend named Anita, who incidentally, is black. We are no longer friends anymore because she chose to vote for Obama because she said that, "she wanted to vote for someone like her."

That's crazy. What's worse is she didn't do her homework. Or is she, like Obama, a black liberation theology marxist radical who thinks he's the messiah?

According to her, blacks are the first to suffer during a recession. My question to her would be this: what does having a white president have to do with that?

If you look at statistics on education where blacks and whites are concerned, you find out that black women do equally well. It is black men who have trouble.

With the recession, the unemployment rate of blacks is 6.8 percent higher than for whites. Maybe she's onto something. However, there's only one small problem: we have a black president. Shouldn't blacks be doing better under Obama?

Apparently not.

When I vote, I vote for those who have the same or similar values to mine. That's why I couldn't vote for Obama. He stands against everything I believe in, and everything that's good about this country. Since I don't share in the white guilt, I didn't feel obligated to vote for him.

I didn't care for McCain either, but he was the lesser of the two evils.

Why Is My Life Turning to $%*t?

Not long ago, I received the following question from one of my "Constructive Science" newsletter subscribers:

"Why does it seem that life gets so much worse whenever you want to/are making a life change and what can you do to make things flow easier? It is so discouraging."

Good question and one I've been asked a number of times in several different ways over the last few years, all of which are reminiscent of one I used to ask myself:

Why does it seem like every time (not really "every time", but it happened often enough that I was starting to think it was a "law" of some sort :-)) I set a clear and definite vision of what I want and set out firmly in its direction does my life turn to $%*t?

After giving the subject a lot of thought, I came up with two possible reasons (there may be more, but these are the two "biggies" in my mind), one of which is more obvious than the other.

The first, and more obvious, possible reason is that while you may have a clear and definite vision of what you want in mind, you're thinking $%*t and acting in accordance with those thoughts and thus, to put it bluntly, creating $%*t in your life, regardless of what your "vision" may call for.

If that's the case...

You need to bring your thoughts and actions consistently (the key word here being *consistently*) in line with your vision.

The formula is simple:

Constructive Thought + Constructive Action = Success

Success being getting what you want.

That being said...

If you're thinking and acting constructively...

There's a second possible reason, which, in my own experience, I've often found to be the case when I've encountered this little "experience".

In Chapter 13 of "The Science of Being Great" (Thought), Wallace D. Wattles wrote:

"There is, as Emerson says, some central idea or conception of yourself by which all the facts of your life are arranged and classified. Change this central idea and you change the arrangement or classification of all the facts and circumstances of your life."

When you create a new vision and set out in its direction, you're changing the "central idea" of your life and setting into motion the rearrangement or reclassification "of all the facts and circumstances of your life", which as orderly as it all may seem to the Universe (and I'm quite sure it is), may appear (the key word here being *appear*) to you as your life turning to $%*t.

This is where faith comes into play, for as Wallace D. Wattles put in Lesson 10 of "The Personal Power Course" (Opportunity):

"If you keep this faith..."

The faith that you not only can and will get what you want, but *ARE* getting what you want...

"... no matter how circumstances may combine against you, you will find that the difficulties are only apparent. When one road is closed to you, it will be because another and better one is to be opened. When you do not get the thing you hoped for, it will be because a better thing is being brought to you. Never be disappointed; know that every seeming reverse is the prelude to something better than you hoped for. If you move forward in the manner described in these lessons, life will be a continuous series of surprises, in that you will always be getting something better than what you expected."

Therefore...

If (a big *IF*) you're consistently thinking and acting constructively (if you're not then that's where you need to start) toward what you want and your life "appears" (the key word here being *appears*) to be turning to $%*t in the process...

With the above Wallace D. Wattles quote in mind...

The best advice I could possibly give you is that put forth by Wallace D. Wattles (also in Lesson 10 of "The Personal Power Course"):

"Have faith, and MOVE ON."

One of my all-time favorite Wallace D. Wattles quotes. :-)

I don't know that there's necessarily any way make the whole process of getting what you want "flow easier", but I do know FAITH and ACTION will *ALWAYS* get you what you want (or something a whole heck of a lot better than what you originally had in mind :-))...

So...

"Have faith, and MOVE ON."

For the last two days I've been involved in a discussion on You Tube about this topic. What you can't seem to explain to these people who claim that Obama is an American citizen is that he has never proven that he is an American citizen. He has never released his long form birth certificate.

There is a difference between a long form birth certificate and a short form birth certificate. In a long form birth certificate, it includes the hospital where the baby was delivered, as well as the name of the doctor who delivered the baby. None of this is on Obama's "birth certificate" that he released.

Anyway, you'll find a detailed case on this site that make it clear that Obama is not an American citizen, nor is he a natural citizen. Therefore, he isn't eligible to be president.

Frankly, if I worked for the Hawaii Department of Health, and there were actually a long form copy of his birth certificate available, I think that I would definitely be tempted to lay my hands on it and collect that reward. I mean come on, you could feed a lot of homeless vets and save a lot of dolphins with that money.

With that much money on the line, I really do find it hard to believe that this birth certificate actually exists, and if Obama were actually smart, he would collect it and retire in comfort.

I have read a lot of Joel Osteen, as well as Creflo Dollar. How they helped me is that they showed me just how loving God really is and how much he loves me.

It comes with a price though because I am on both of the mailing lists, and they are constantly sending me requests these days. I'm a little tired of it, especially since Joel Osteen gave the dedication for the new Houston mayor, who is gay. Instead of blessing her, why isn't he trying to minister to her and tell her the truth?

Since I found Joel Osteen long after I got saved, and I had already read the Bible several times, then I understood how his message fit in. Although I found it helpful, it is incomplete.

That's why I read "Our Daily Bread" every day now. I am a more mature Christian. I need meat, not milk.

In the July 3rd devotional, they talk about the snail and how slow it is. The snail though, perseveres. That's how he gets to where he needs to go.

As Christians, we need to persevere too. Jesus never promsed us that it would be easy after we got saved. What he told us that he would be there for us to help us.

Tough times are actually a good thing because they make us stronger. It's too bad that these days in our society we are being told that the government will fix everything for us, and we don't have to do anything. This is why so many in the world fail and never experience everything God has in store for us.

We can live the successful life, and a life of peace and happiness if we are willing to go through the trials.

And the GREAT news is this:

Almost every single TT exercise can be substituted by an equally amazing exercise from my repertoire.

So let's go through a huge list of exercise substitutions. This will be perfect for you to print out and keep with your TT program or in your workout area.

Exercise Substitutions

1) To replace Squats, you can do:

1-leg hip extensions
Step-ups
Deep Step-ups
Split squats
Reverse lunges
Forward lunges
Bulgarian split squats (with back foot elevated on a bench)
Reaching lunges
1-leg deadlifts
1-leg squats (use bands or straps for assistance if necessary)
1-leg squats standing on a bench

By the way, if you are using dumbbells for squats or lunges and you find that the weights are too heavy to hold, you can switch to a barbell if you have access to it.

The only reason you don't see barbell exercises in the TT programs are because most TT readers exercise at home with dumbbells.

2) To replace Deadlifts:

The only "direct replacement" is dumbbell squats.

Otherwise, just replace deadlifts with a superset pairing of any lower body exercise paired with a row.

For example:

Barbell lunge supersetted with a DB row
Stability Ball Leg Curl supersetted with Inverted Row

3) If you have sore knees and need to replace lunges:

First, see a doctor and have them diagnose the problem. Second, see a therapist and have them treat the issue. Third, see a trainer and have them assess where you need to work on flexibility and how you can include some "knee-friendly" exercises in your workout program.

These exercises include:

Lying Hip Extensions (also known as Lying Hip Bridges)
1-leg Hip Extensions
Lying Hip Extensions with your feet on the ball
Stability Ball Leg Curls

4) To replace Bench Presses or Dumbbell Chest Presses (of any kind), you can do one of these:

Pushups
Close-grip pushups
Decline pushup
Elevated pushups
Off-set pushups
Pushups with your feet on the ball
Pushups with your hands on the ball
Pushups with your feet on the ball and hands on the bench
Suspended strap pushups
Spiderman pushups
Spiderman climb pushups
Pike pushups
Dips
Decline close-grip spiderman pushups

By the way, if you have dumbbells but no bench, you can replace flat dumbbell bench presses by lying on the floor. And you can replace incline dumbbell presses with standing 1-arm dumbbell shoulder presses.

5) To replace any kind of row, here are alternatives:

Dumbbell rows
Dumbbell rows with elbows out
Dumbbell chest supported rows
Barbell rows
Inverted rows
Underhand grip rows
Seated cable rows
Renegade Rows (with flat dumbbells or kettlebells)
Dumbbell rear deltoid raises
Rows with TRX or blast straps
Chin-ups (these are done with an underhand grip)
Eccentric chin-ups
Sternum chin-ups
V-grip chin-ups
Pull-ups (these are done with an overhand grip)
Eccentric pull-ups
Sternum pull-ups

And in place of pull-ups or chin-ups, you can do:

Dumbbell rows
Dumbbell pullovers
Underhand grip pulldowns (kneeling) - replaces chin-ups
Overhand grip pulldowns (kneeling) - replace pull-ups
Assisted chinups/pull-ups using machine

However, if you have absolutely no equipment (i.e. no dumbbells, no barbell, no cables, no straps, and no bar) then unfortunately there is no way to train your upper back. The best you can do is to add a lot of prisoner squats, prisoner lunges, stick-ups, and WYT's to your bodyweight program.

6) To replace dips, you can do:

Any version of close-grip pushups
Dumbbell floor presses
Dumbbell close-grip presses
Close-grip bench press

7) To replace dumbbell split squats, you can do:

1-leg lying hip extensions
Bulgarian split squats (use higher reps or the 1 & 1/4 rep method)
Split squats with your front foot elevated 4-6 inches
1-leg deadlifts
1-leg squats (holding straps or cables for assistance)
1-leg squats standing on the bench
Step-ups
Deep step-ups
Reaching lunges

(NOTE: For many exercises, including pushing and pulling too, you can play around with the 1&1/2 rep style - lowering to the bottom position, coming halfway back up, and then lowering again, and then coming all the way back up.)

There are some people in America that think that in order to be properly represented in the political process, they have to vote for someone of their own race.

Well, I'm Caucasian, but I don't think I would be properly represented by someone like Hillary Clinton or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran. Although he's Caucasian too, I can assure you that we would never get along because he's also a Muslim who thinks the Holocaust didn't happen, and he thinks that what the 9/11 terrorists did was OK.

That's why I think the whole idea of voting for someone based on race is so stupid. It's also racist, which begs the question, "Are there that many racist blacks in the United States" because 90 percent of blacks voted for Obama, and many of them voted for him because he's "black."

Well, he's not black, he's brown, and his mother was white by color and Caucasian by race, so he's only half "black." I seriously doubt the man knows anything more about being black than I do.

Anyway, if you want to elect someone based solely on race, then why not Herman Cain? Not only is he black, but he's also one of the nicest people I know, having spoken to him on the telephone, and he's also one of the most accomplished people I know.

Herman is accomplished by any standard, not just because he's black, or for any other reason than that he's worked very hard for everything he has had.

It's been 18 months now since Obama became president of the United States. How long will he continue to blame Bush?

It really doesn't matter who caused what to happen. What matters is now, and Obama is in office.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you elect someone who is so unqualified for office. Being a community organizer and chosen to head the Harvard Law Review because you're black aren't qualifications for being anything.

What's worse is this man supposedly taught constitutional law. Based on his record in office so far, I'd say that he has read about as much of the Constitution as he has the Arizon law on illegal immigration and the healthcare bill.

I once heard a story about a king that goes something like this:

"There was once a king who wanted to gather all of the knowledge of the world into one place. So he sent for his wise men and told them to gather all of this knowledge.

The wise men went to work and after a few months, they came back with 10 volumes. The king examined them,and then told the wise men that this was simply too much.

The wise men went to work again, and this time they condensed it down to one volume. The king took a look once again and then said the wise men need to work on it once again.

Once again, the wise men went to work, and they condensed this knowledge to one page. The king put them to work one more time and told them that he wanted it condensed to one sentence. Finally, the wise men condensed it to one sentence. It said this: "There is no free lunch."

For those of you who voted for Obama because you thought you were getting on that gravy train, it's over. It doesn't matter what Bush did when he was in office. Unlike Obama, Bush took responsibility for everything that happened on his watch even though it was Bill Clinton who was responsible for 9/11, and I can easily prove that one.

Obama has never been and will never be anything more than a George Soros puppet.

You want real change? Then let's get rid of all of the welfare. Let's get rid of all of this unnecessary law, and let's get rid of this burdensome tax system. And finally, let's get rid of all of those illegals, and let's stop giving them welfare.

The Apostasy of 'Social Justice Christians'

I am angry. In fact, I am very angry. I am so sick of Obama and his policies I want to puke. What a complete and total moron, and to call him a moron is to insult morons.

I had some clue as to what he believed when I listened to Jeremiah Wright. After all, Jeremiah Wright is the one that teaches that Jesus was a black liberal and marxist. (Black Liberation Theology). Apparently this is a pretty common teaching in the black churches and unfortunately it's starting to spread.

Well, it's a load of garbage. This whole idea that we are to give up everything we have to people who don't want to work and won't help themselves is insane. To force people to do this is not compassion at all, and that is why I believe that liberals are evil instead of compassionate. It is not Christian charity to be forced to give to others. God gave us a choice, and you cannot force people to be compassionate.

Liberals are people that for whatever reason hate themselves so much that they see the only solution to the problem is to make others feel as rotten as they do. The problem is that other people usually aren't your problem. Usually the problem is the person you see in the mirror.

Until you are ready to take responsibility for your life, you will always be miserable and any life lived apart from Jesus Christ will always be miserable. It's the kind of life that sends people scurrying for a messiah like Obama instead of solving the real problem with is a deep spiritual problem. Solve that, and you solve most of your problems.

I know this from experience. I was depressed for years. I wanted to die. When I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ, everything changed.

I personally intend to resist Obama and these people who claim to be Christian but who really aren't. They are evil. The Bible calls them goats, and they are the ones that Jesus will tell to "get away from him because he never knew them."

Understand this: it is God who is sitting in judgement of all the evil in the world, not Christians, and He's tired of it. God doesn't accept excuses, and when we all stand before him in judgement, there will be no way to persuade him to save you just because you were a "good" person.

The most important question you will ever answer today is where you will spend eternity. Unless you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, and you are following him, then you stand condemned to an eternity of torment. This is not my opinion. This is what the Bible says, and God doesn't change his mind.

Don't be a fool like Obama, Jeremiah Wright, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and a whole bunch of other people I know. Give your life to Christ and let him save you. It will be the best decision you have ever made.

As the bumper sticker says, "God not GOV." The solution here is not more government intervention but a fundamental change of heart where we turn to Christ.

Mind Power Techniques - 3 Subconscious Mind Power Techniques That Don't Work

Self-help books, programs, seminars, and websites abound with all sorts of nifty sounding mind power techniques said to influence the "hidden" power of your subconscious mind to a desired end result. Some of them work and some of them don't work, while still others work or don't work depending on how you use them...

Here are three frequently recommended subconscious mind power techniques that either don't work at all or don't work the way most people use them:

Mind Power Technique #1 - Affirmations

Affirmations or self-affirmations, as some refer to them, are essentially a first person, present tense statement made by yourself to yourself "affirming" what you want to be, do, or have as your already accomplished reality. "I am rich", "I am well", and "I have a great memory" are but just a few examples.

Depending on how you use them, affirmations work or don't work. Used the way most people use them, merely repeating strings of words over and over again, they have little, if any, effect on the subconscious. Used properly, however, they can have a very powerful effect.

Mind Power Technique #2 - Subliminal Programming

Subliminal, meaning literally "below threshold", according to Wikipedia, CDs, DVDs, and even software, are touted to produce change effortlessly by delivering images or messages directly to your subconscious mind. You'll see these programs all over the place nowadays. Popular topics include build self-esteem, lose weight, and stop smoking, just to name a few.

Maybe these subliminal programs work for some folks, though I've yet to meet anyone they've worked for, but I experimented with these on and off for years, back when they were pretty much only available on cassette tape (remember those?), and, quite frankly, they never had any effect on me whatsoever. Neither, for that matter, did so-called "self-hypnosis" programs.

Mind Power Technique #3 - Create a "Positive" Environment

The idea here is, I'm told, is that by surrounding yourself with "positive", "motivational" signs, posters, and other "reminders" at home and at work, their messages will somehow magically "seep" into your subconscious mind and thus "energize" you and effect "positive" change in your life.

Another one of those techniques that sounds good in theory, my personal experience with such "reminders" over the years tells me they have little, if any, effect on the subconscious mind. As a matter of fact, some of the biggest procrastinators I know have signs on their desks that read "Do It Now!" in great big letters. That alone out to tell you something. :-)

Affirmations, at least the way most people use them, subliminal programming, and creating a "positive" environment are but three of the many mind power techniques that don't work and thus are a total waste of time, money, and/or effort. Fortunately, however, there are very powerful techniques you can use to unleash the unlimited power of your subconscious and direct it to any end result you desire.

The 7 Principles of Rational Living

Do you ever feel like you're being lied to? I feel that way most of the time. I don't watch the news anymore for this reason.

There's an old expression in Journalism that says, "If it leads, it's bleeds." I feel that the more I watch the news, the more negative I become, but it's not just the news that does this to me, it's also being surrounded by negative people.

What's unfortunate is that I think most of us just aren't strong enough to resist the negativity in our lives, especially the negativity that comes from other people. If you're not, then you really want to read this book, "Getting What You Want: The 7 Principles of Rational Living," by Robert J. Ringer.

In this book, Ringer outlines seven different principles that he believes you have to live by in order to not only get what you want out of life but to find happiness too. These principles are:

1. Base your actions on truth
2. Focus on value, not entitlements
3. Make choices with civility, dignity, honesty, and humility
4. Avoid those who drain your personal resources
5. Rid yourself of major encumbrances
6. Develop the self-discipline to act on intellect, not impulse
7. Learn from bad breaks and move on

Some people will find this book to be offensive. After all, it's about recognizing where you are deluding yourself in your life, owning up to what you are doing, then taking steps to change. The value is that if you do that, you'll eliminate the obstacles holding you back in your life. Once you eliminate those obstacles, you'll be able to press forward and achieve what you really want.

One of the most important principles I learned from this book, or at least it was reinforced by this book, is that you can't change the world. In order to change the world, you have to change other people, or at least most people think you have to change other people.

If you're one of these people who thinks that you need to change the world in order to be happy or have a purpose, then take control of what you can and change yourself. All of us have the ability to improve, and all of us need to improve.

Regardless of what you are looking for in life, this book will help you achieve it. Not only does it tell you what you need to be doing, it tells you how to do it, and why you should be doing it in the first place.

I've read plenty of self help books. I am always working myself because I believe that we are always works in progress. What this book helped me finally do was shed the burdens of the past and not feel guilty for being happy and wanting to live my dreams.

Ultimately, what I learned, is that I am only responsible for me. I can only change me, and in changing me, that not only makes the world a better place, but it leads me to what I want in life, as well as my ultimate happiness. When you stop reacting to life, and start acting on life in a rational way, you will achieve what you really want.

I am a devoted fan of "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace Wattles. The reason is that this book simply boils down the whole process of how to succeed in life.

Apparently Wattles is a much more avid writer than any of us could have imagined. In 1904, he wrote about marriage. Although I have to say that I'm a little skeptical about some of his writing in this ebook, I have to say that it's definitely worth reading. In fact, anything that Wattles wrote is worth reading.

I have probably mentioned this web site before, but it's well worth mentioning again.

It is run by Dr. Larry Bates and his brother Chuck Bates. They present the news from a Christian perspective.

Dr. Bates is also the author of the book, "The New World Economic Disorder," and it's well worth the read.

If you want your news from a Christian perspective, and you want to understand the news from a Biblical perspective, then you want to listen to this show.

Don't think that just because these people are Christian that this show doesn't deal in facts. It does. You can look up what Dr. Bates says and find out the truth for yourself.

Definitely worth listening to and highly recommended.
