Jesus - king of hate?
Jesus - king of hate?
I have to be honest that I have a hard time understanding why people sometimes hate Christians. The truth is, I really don't mind if others hate me for my faith. I'm also a libertarian, I respect the laws of this country, and I believe that people have the right to believe whatever they want.
Respecting others' right to believe whatever they want is true tolerance, not this agreeing with everything that others do because we want to make them feel better about themselves.
I once read that a real Christian cannot denounce Christ. I believe this is true. I also believe this is the reason that 5,000,000 Christians died in the first three centuries of Christianity because they were true believers. No one would go through what they went through unless they really believed.
I think this is a great article by Hal Lindsay, one of the best teachers of prophecy, because it explains this unreasonable, and often, irrational hate towards us as Christians.
Definitely worth a read.
Jesus - king of hate?
And BTW, can someone tell me what a hate crime is? I never met a criminal who loved his victim. Of course, I believe in the Biblical definition of love, and it says, God is love. No God, no love.
